How it all works
1) Get in touch
Contact me either through my website or by email, describing your project with a few lines or paragraphs. I will then give you a rough idea of pricing and if you’re happy we can get started on the brief.
We will then discuss either through email or phone (your choice) about your business, your project, your goals, your timeframe and an appropriate word count of your copy. This will be the time I will ask you questions to get a better idea of your company.
Once we’ve confirmed your needs and my ability to complete your work, I’ll send you a quote on the cost of your project. This will include how much research I need to do and a rough estimate of the time the writing will take me. I quote per project rather than time or word count, to ensure you know exactly what you’re paying for.
This quote will include:
Research of your sector to understand your unique story.
Thorough proofreading and editing.
Basic SEO keyword research.
Up to two rounds of revisions, to get your piece just right.
3) Confirmation of project
If you’re happy with my quote, I will send over a simple contract including confirmation of the project brief, the agreed timeline, and the price.
Whether you have a particular competitor you’d like me to look into, specific feedback you'd like me to address, or a piece of content you absolutely love, I will really get into the details researching your audience and their needs.
Although I do love research, I do this to find a simple but compelling story to make your offer irresistible to your customers.
5) The creative bit
Now it’s time to get to my favourite part, the writing. I work within Google Docs and will send you an accessible file with the first draft and any questions I’d like you to address. I appreciate you may like a paragraph or so first to see the writing style I am going for, just let me know.
Whatever I’m writing needs to be perfect for you, so I always include two rounds of revisions in my price to ensure you’re 100% happy. I welcome any constructive criticism and commentary.
Once we have reached the final draft I will proofread and check everything is neat, tidy, and accurate.
6) Final invoice
Once the bow is tied and we’re happy, I’ll send you the final invoice for my fee. I ask you very nicely to complete my payment within 14 days.
